Asia
The Asia region has more than 15 Local Networks. While Asia has a lower proportion of SME participants than other regions, it is home to the highest percentage of company participants in the UN Global Compact.
Local Networks in Asia actively collaborate with one another. They discuss opportunities and solutions to common issues at both the regional and sub-regional levels in an effort to generate and scale up impact. Examples of internetwork collaboration include a recent joint publication that highlights Local Network best practices and an annual sub-regional roundtable convened by the East Asia networks.
To improve the enabling environment for responsible business and to embed corporate sustainability into national agendas, Local Networks in South Asia have facilitated multistakeholder dialogues between businesses and policymakers.
